Analysis of Common UV Flatbed Printer Nozzle Models and Channel Configurations

Epson

Epson printheads focus on the flexibility of color output in their model design, with channel configurations covering multi-color requirements to adapt to color performance needs in different printing scenarios.
  • Model i3200: Adopts a "one head, four colors" channel configuration, supporting CMYK basic color output. It can meet the color needs of most conventional printing scenarios and is a classic model that balances basic color performance and versatility.
  • Model i3200HD: Expands the number of channels based on the i3200, achieving an "one head, eight colors" configuration, which specifically includes CMYK (basic colors) and LCLMLKLLK (light colors). By adding light color channels, it can improve the delicacy of color transitions in printed images, making it suitable for printing needs that require high color layering.
  • Model 1600: Returns to the classic "one head, four colors" channel design. Consistent with the four-color configuration logic of the i3200, it takes CMYK as the core color system and focuses on basic printing needs in terms of channel functions, providing an adaptive option for scenarios with relatively simple color configuration requirements.
  • Models XP600 (Modified Head) / F1080 (Original Head): The channel configuration has a certain degree of flexibility. It can be used in both "one head, six colors" mode (including CMYK + 2 light colors) and adjusted to "one head, four colors" mode (only using the CMYK channels, with the other two channels left unused). It can flexibly switch color output modes according to actual printing needs, adapting to printing tasks with different precision and color complexity.

Ricoh

The channel configurations of Ricoh printheads present two main directions: "simplified and practical" and "efficient adaptation". Some models have also undergone discontinuation adjustments, forming a differentiated channel selection system.
  • Model Ricoh GH2220 (Small Ricoh): Adopts a "one head, two colors" channel configuration. The channel design is simple, focusing on basic color output or specific single-color/double-color printing scenarios, making it suitable for applications that do not require a large number of colors and emphasize printing stability.
  • Model G5i: Features a "one head, four colors" channel configuration. Although this model of printhead has been discontinued, from the perspective of channel design, it centered on four-color output and was mainly adapted to scenarios that required basic color performance and printing stability.
  • Model G5: MH5420: Uses a "one head, two colors" channel design. The channel function focuses on high-efficiency printing, with basic two-color output as the core in color configuration, adapting to industrial-grade printing scenarios that require high printing efficiency and have relatively simple color needs.
  • Model G6: MH5320: Continues the "one head, two colors" channel configuration. Consistent with the channel design logic of G5: MH5420, it takes two-color output as the core and focuses on adapting to the efficiency of industrial-grade printing in terms of channel functions, meeting the needs of batch and fast printing.
  • Model G5: MH5440: Upgrades to a "one head, four colors" channel configuration, with CMYK four colors as the core. Compared with the two-color models of the same brand, it has stronger color output capability, which can balance the efficiency of industrial-grade printing and basic color performance, adapting to batch printing tasks that have certain requirements for the number of colors.
  • Model G6: MH5340: Maintains a "one head, four colors" channel configuration. It is in the same line as the four-color design of G5: MH5440, and further optimizes the channel functions to adapt to higher-efficiency industrial-grade printing scenarios while meeting the four-color basic color output needs.

Toshiba

The channel configuration of Toshiba printheads centers on "basic two colors". Both main models adopt the "one head, two colors" design, focusing on adapting to basic color needs in specific printing scenarios.
  • Model CE4: Adopts a "one head, two colors" channel configuration. The channel design is simple, focusing on basic two-color printing. It can meet scenarios that have simple color needs and emphasize printing stability and high-drop adaptation, providing basic color output support for printing tasks in specific fields.
  • Model CF3: Also has a "one head, two colors" channel configuration. Consistent with the channel design logic of CE4, it takes two-color output as the core, further optimizes the channel functions, adapts to multiple scenarios such as flatbed and cylinder printing, and maintains the stability and adaptability of basic two-color printing.

Brother

The channel configuration of Brother printheads is relatively concentrated, with only one mainstream configuration, focusing on the adaptation of specific ink types and printing scenarios. The printheads of this brand adopt a "one head, four colors" channel configuration, with CMYK four colors as the core color system, and are specifically adapted for water-based ink use. The channel functions are highly bound to the ink type, mainly focusing on direct-to-garment printing scenarios, providing targeted four-color output support for this field.
